Auto Spool Administrator - Permanent Project
Epic Piping has an exciting opportunity available for an Auto Spool Administrator to be an integral part of our team. This position is a permanent project supporting Epic Piping. The selected individual will be employed and paid by a third party.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Administer, maintain, and support engineering CAD systems, including AutoSpool, Spoolgen, Isomec, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other engineering software applications.
- Monitor software license utilization and coordinate software installations and updates.
- Support engineering teams during project execution to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted engineering operations.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of engineering data and company intellectual property.
- Configure and establish new projects, including project databases, drawing templates, standards, specifications, libraries, and user permissions.
- Develop, maintain, and improve CAD standards, workflows, engineering procedures, and best practices.
- Work closely with Engineering, IT, and Software Vendors to implement customized workflows, automation tools, and system enhancements.
- Analyse, troubleshoot, test, and resolve issues related to PCF files, IDF files, AutoSpool databases, CAD applications, and engineering software.
- Log, document, monitor, and follow up software issues with vendors until resolution.
- Manage software upgrades, testing, implementation, and user acceptance activities.
- Develop and maintain engineering libraries, catalogs, templates, seed files, and standard project configurations.
- Support engineering teams by providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and user training.
- Ensure engineering data integrity, backup, version control, and document management within CAD systems.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for automation, productivity improvements, and process standardization.
- Prepare technical documentation, user manuals, installation
procedures, and training materials.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in CAD Administration, Engineering Systems Administration, or Engineering Software Support.
- Bachelor of Scient OR Associate's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
- Fluency in English is Mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoSpool, Navisworks, and piping fabrication engineering software.
- Good understanding of PCF files, piping isometrics, spool generation, and engineering data management.
- Knowledge of CAD administration, database management, engineering standards, and configuration management.
- Experience configuring engineering projects, templates, catalogs, and CAD environments.
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve engineering software and system issues.
- Knowledge of engineering document control and revision management.
- Experience working with engineering automation and workflow improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to train and support engineering users.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
- Knowledge of SQL databases, scripting, PowerShell, or programming for CAD automation is an advantage. Experience in Oil & Gas, Power, Petrochemical, or EPC projects is preferred.
