Inventory Control Supervisor

Epic Piping has an exciting opportunity available for a Inventory Control Supervisor to be an integral part of our Fabrication team.  WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Material Control 

  • Monitor all cycle count programs and ensure consistency and accuracy.  
  • Identify all operational problems in inventory.  
  • Maintain records of all variances according to established procedures.  
  • Monitor work of all inventory control personnel and ensure achievement of all objectives.  
  • Ensure accuracy of all inventory transactions and maintain records.  
  • Train employees and staff in all inventory control processes according to manual and recommend process updates if required.  
  • Monitor all inventory control processes and documents.  
  • Manage all inventory transactions and provide required feedback to team as required.  
  • Monitor and control lot locations and conduct a quarterly audit.  

Paint/Sandblast 

  • Take inventory weekly of all paint/consumables 
  • Order supplies to restock weekly 
  • Maintain relationships with vendors to ensure needed supplies are available 
  • Communicate with Project Engineers for recommendations for paint vendors, send in RFIs when needed 
  • Communicate with Project Managers about job goals, priorities, paint availability 
  • Receive all paint and consumable through JDE 
  • Participate in production meetings, client meetings, pre-inspection meetings 
  • Assist managers with reviewing/screening employment applications and interviewing 
  • Communicate with estimators about pricing and alternative products

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Education:  High School Diploma or GED; Preferred

Experience: 2-3 years of experience in pipe fabrication field.

Computer Skills:  Proficient in Microsoft Office and JD Edwards

Certification/Licenses: None specifically required

Other Requirements:  Knowledge of piping materials (visual and descriptions)
