Quality Control Manager–ASME III

 WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Interface with AIA
  • Comply and ensure compliance with nuclear safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and regulations  
  • Maintain ongoing contact with staff members, third party personnel, quality consultants, and customers  
  • Maintain a continual improvement of the product & process throughout the entire organization  
  • Develop advice, publish, and implement policies pertaining to ASME III/NAQ-1 Quality requirements  
  • Processing of complaints and claims from customers  
  • Manage and structure the ASME III Quality Department  
  • Disposition off-site ASME III Quality issues that may be of concern to the Company  
  • Provide internal audits and external audits of outsourced processors  
  • Provide Monthly Status Reports  
  • Initiate, process, manage, and maintain the Non-Conformance and Corrective Action Logs  
  • Assess the performance of welders, NDE personnel, and Quality-related Inspectors to determine if their certification needs to be removed, and/or additional training is required  
  • Review and approve work orders  
  • Provide a Management Assessment Report as required  
  • Direct authority over ASME III Quality Department and personnel  
  • Direct authority over the ASME III Quality process
  • Review traveler, procedures, etc.   
  • Implement Quality Assurance Manual, procedures, and applicable project requirements (i.e. ITP, JI, etc)
  • Verify qualification and certification of NDE personnel
  • Evaluate independent contractor personnel
  • Initiate Material Discrepancy Reports (MDRs)
  • Investigate suspect, indeterminate, or non-conforming material
  • Investigate any condition adverse to quality
  • Verify PWHT and 80% of anticipated PWHT Time
  • Ensure NDE and test for traveler
  • Ensure MTE calibration is maintained
  • Ensure Root Cause Analysis is performed, and trends are resolved
  • Ensure QA records are collected, indexed, and properly stored
  • Certify ASME Data Reports and register with the national board 
  • Other duties as assigned


WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience: 5+ Years of Related Experience
  • Computer Skills:  Microsoft Office Suite
  • Certification/Licenses: ASNT NDT Level III
