Epic Distribution has an exciting opportunity available for a Shipping Manager who will be responsible for managing the flow of shipments (both inbound & outbound) from the site to client destinations.

The ideal candidate will have a high attention to detail, perform work accurately and thoroughly, communicate effectively, remain organized, multi-task and prioritize work in an effective manner. The idea candidate will have strong computer skills, especially in Excel.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for releasing pick tickets to the warehouse and ensuring all customer specifications are relayed to the warehouse.
• Ensures orders are processed in a timely manner that will allow for more on time shipments.
• Ensures all shipments are invoiced in a timely manner.
• Manages and oversees a staff reporting to them.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Experience:  At least 3 years of relevant experience.

Computer Skills:  Microsoft Office Suite, especially advance Excel knowledge. Knowledge of JD Edwards a plus.
