Position Overview

We’re hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator to support shipping operations. This position is responsible for safely operating a cherry picker and forklift to load and move materials and finished spools. If you have hands-on equipment experience and a safety-first mindset, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a cherry picker and forklift to move, load, and unload materials.
• Load completed spools onto trucks for shipment.
• Operate heavy equipment in accordance with company safety standards.
• Maintain equipment to ensure clean, safe, and reliable operation.
• Communicate effectively with the Shipping Foreman and coworkers.
• Follow directional signals and work in coordination with ground personnel.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 2 years' experience operating heavy equipment
• Proficiency in operating cherry pickers and forklifts is required

Skills & Traits:

• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Dependable and able to follow instructions
• Effective communicator
• Organized, responsible, and safety-focused

Licenses/Certifications:

• Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
